Thomas (Tom) Wiggins serves as a project manager for both technical and business aspects of ATP projects in the Chemistry and Life Sciences Office.

Tom has over thirty-five years of engineering and manufacturing management experience in a variety of consumer, communications, and oceanographic and medical diagnostic products. Most recently, he was with a consulting firm specializing in providing start-up companies with business/regulatory strategies, regulatory compliant manufacturing and quality systems, product development, and engineering design support. His experience includes responsibility for order entry, planning, purchasing, manufacturing, and manufacturing engineering, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Tom has also been instrumental in the development and manufacture of medical diagnostics instruments medical devices and unique disposables, along with the development of processes and equipment for integrated assembly and packaging. His experience includes bringing over 25 automated manufacturing processes, and more than 50 products to market. Tom has held positions as Director of Engineering, Director of Manufacturing Engineering or Director of Manufacturing, with several biotech, and medical device/diagnostic companies.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters of Business Administration from Syracuse University.
