Program Dr. Boudreaux obtained
Ph.D. in mathematical logic from the University of Notre Dame in 1975.
In 1979 he began working as a computer scientist at the National Institute
of Standards and Technology, formerly the National Bureau of Standards,
first in the Computer Science Laboratory and then from 1984 to 1991 in
the Manufacturing Engineering Laboratory. In 1992, he became a program
manager in the NIST Advanced Technology Program. Dr. Boudreaux has published
over seventy technical papers and edited three books. His research has
focused primarily in the following areas: programming language environments
for automated manufacturing; adaptive control and real-time error compensation
systems; and intelligent manufacturing systems.
