Professional Background:

Gerald Castellucci joined the ATP, Information Technology and Electronics Organization in August 2002 as a program Manager. Gerald is interested in all aspects of electronics and electric power, including new power semiconductors, fuel cells, and photovoltaic systems for village power, new motor technologies, and advancements in capacitor and inductor/transformer technologies. Gerald has managed large projects involving the cooperative efforts of Navy organizations, industry, and academia.

Mr. Castellucci is an Electrical Engineer. He brings 36 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. As an electrical engineer for the Naval Surface Warfare Center he managed large programs including the establishment of procedures for acoustic and vibrations signature evaluation of ships and submarines. Gerald has designed hydrophones, transducers, signal processing and data acquisition systems. Mr. Castellucci built an anechoic test facility for the Naval Surface Warfare Center. In the private sector, Gerald designed electric power converters up to ¼ mega-watts which were based on newly developed power semiconductors. Gerald also invented a short range navigation system based on magnetic fields for ships in coastal waters.

Mr. Castellucci was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He followed that with two years of graduate studies in Underwater Acoustics at the Catholic University of America.
