Professional Background:

Barbara Cuthill came to NIST directly after completing graduate school in 1992 and worked in the Systems and Software Technology Division of the Computer Systems Laboratory. Her work there has been for the Integrated Software Engineering Environments Project (under Bill Wong and Tom Rhodes) and the High Integrity Software Systems Project (under Dolores Wallace). Barbara joined ATP in 1995 and has managed software projects in the component-based software and digital video programs.

Barbara has a ScB degree from Brown University and a PhD from the University of Connecticut in Computer Science with her graduate work focusing on Artificial Intelligence and her thesis topic in the area of Case-Based Reasoning.
