"Genetic Manipulation in Animals: ADVANCED TRANSGENESIS and CLONING -- Workshop FORUM"

The discussion areas which follow herein are to solicit author's comments on the individual papers presented in the electronic workshop for advanced genetic manipulation in animals.

In turn, anyone can explore the public notices contained here and elsewhere on this site for ideas which may lead to a competitive ATP proposal for funding. It is hoped that this forum will be a readily accessible means of discussion that is not constrained by workshop time limits or travel requirements.

The radio buttons at the bottom of the "Dialogue page" allow the author's to subscribe, add or comment to a topic, or obtain help on how to use the discussion forum. Please remember that only invited participants may use these tools to post directly to this website during the two week period from September 22 to October 5, 1998. If you have any suggestions about how this forum might be more effectively used, please send e-mail to mrunal.chapekar@nist.gov.

Messages regarding the individual papers which organizations and individuals (i.e., the 'originator') wish to post should contain the following:

  • a short (10 words or less) title for the notice;
  • a clear and concise statement of the item for discussion or comment;
  • a means for interested parties to contact the originator.

Anonymous postings must be submitted to and approved by the ATP Workshop Moderator, Rosemarie Hunziker.

NIST reserves the right to remove or refuse to post notices which:

  • contain obscene or otherwise inappropriate languages;
  • are obvious product advertisements;
  • may contain proprietary or otherwise confidential business/trade or secret information.

Published regulations of the NIST prohibit statements in advertising from which it can be inferred that NIST or ATP approves, recommends, or endorses any proprietary product or service. As such, please be advised that neither the Department of Commerce, nor the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), nor the ATP:

  • endorses or recommends any product or service provided, or to be provided, by any of the organizations or individuals posted herein, or their successors, assignees, or licenses;
  • endorses or recommends any organizations or individuals themselves posted herein;
  • assumes any liability for unauthorized disclosure of proprietary information which may be contained in the notices posted herein or in any communications resulting from these notices; and
  • assumes any liability for errors in posted notices.

Furthermore, whether a notice is posted or not posted herein will have no impact on eligibility for an ATP award.

The ATP discussion area presented herein is provided solely as a service to the general public and bears no warranty, either express or implied. Use of the discussion area by a user implies user's assumption of risk, and NIST neither accepts nor assumes legal liability for any activities pursued hereunder.
