Thomas Rhodes

Thomas Rhodes is a computer specialist in the Software Diagnostics and Conformance Testing Division, Information Technology Laboratory, of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). His interests include research, development, and evaluation of software technology and standards for open, distributed computer systems in government and industry. Current work involves development and evaluation of technology and standards for web-based electronic commerce and interactive learning systems. Earlier work included technology and standards development and testing for software engineering environments, involving software tool and repository integration. Previously, he was a Director at Integrated Microcomputer Systems, Inc., responsible for design and implementation of network systems. Mr. Rhodes is a member of the Standards Focus Group of the Presidential Task Force on Federal Training Technology, the Electronic Commerce Working Group of CommerceNet, and the Object Management Group. Mr. Rhodes is a graduate of Pratt Institute with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and has done graduate work at American University.
