Richard J. King
Richard J. King has over 19 years of experience in technology commercialization, corporate partnering, and entrepreneurship. Mr. King has held management positions in product development, marketing and business development at Hewlett-Packard, Procter & Gamble, and with small high-tech companies. In addition, he founded and sold a technology-based business of his own.
Mr. King has participated in 40 technology ventures, and has negotiated over 30 licensing agreements in software, electronics, chemical processing, optical storage, factory automation, computer simulation, medical devices, food products, and biotechnology. He also worked in Europe as part of a long-term special assignment with Hewlett-Packard, and has been active in many strategic alliance projects.
As a result of these experiences, Mr. King has led numerous business planning and sales efforts involving strategy, market assessment, technology valuation, and fundraising. Further, he has negotiated a variety of business arrangements (licensing, OEM, co-development, joint venture, venture capital, distribution, and acquisition), encompassing traditional and novel deal structures.
Mr. King received his MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
