EDUCATION
B.S., Physics, Delhi University, India 1972TECHNICAL/MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE Currently Director of Engineering for Broadband Wireless Access at ADC Telecom. Focused on developing LMDS and MMDS systems at 28, 38, 2.5 GHz frequencies for data, voice and applications for business and residential customers. 22 Years of management and development experience in commercial and military wireless, communication and internet technologies. Published over 36 papers in the areas of wireless telecommunication systems, low-noise and power amplifiers; microwave integrated circuit ( MIC ) and monolithic microwave integrated circuit ( MMIC ) design techniques. Received five patents for inventions in oscillators, amplifiers and MMICs. Served on the technical program Committees of GaAs IC Symposium and International Microwave and Millimeter wave Monolithics Circuit Symposium. Developed over 600 MMIC and MIC components for wireless communication and military markets. Worked for a number of large and small companies including ADC telecommunications, Northrop Grumman, Pacific Monolithics, Avantek and Raytheon.
Developed world's most complex synthesizer MMIC chip at 45 GHz, with 35 functions on a chip. Developed Wireless CDPD PCMCIA and PCS modems for the Cellular and PCS networks and PCMCIA modem products for Mobitex network using MMIC technology. Applied MMIC technology for wireless phone, high speed LAN and collision avoidance radar (CAR) applications. Developed a 24 GHz 10 Mb/sec wireless LAN, 38 GHz point to point radios 28 GHz LMDS radio for data, voice and video application and a 24 GHz blind spot sensor and collision avoidance radar for automotive applications. |
