Prior to joining Hummer Winblad, Dan was a management partner at Brintech, Incorporated, a technology management consulting firm. During his tenure he developed custom technology plans for over 50 commercial financial institutions, covering over forty separate horizontal technology areas in each plan. Dan was also a naval aviator and an instructor pilot for the Navy's most technologically advanced fighter, the F/A-18 Hornet; he has completed over 270 aircraft carrier landings. Awarded numerous military, leadership, and academic honors, Dan received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a distinguished graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a B.S. in computer science.
